How to make your makeup last longer
MMAKE YOUR FOUNDATION LAST
Foundation-last-article
No time for touch ups during the day? Here are our top tips for keeping that foundation on all day long:
1. Choosing the right formula of foundation
Different formulas of foundation are designed for different skin types. Just because you like the packaging doesnât mean itâs right for you. If you have dry skin, use a cream or liquid foundation. If you have oily skin, go for oil-free formulas, powder or mineral foundation.
2. Exfoliate and moisturise
By exfoliating and moisturising your skin you are allowing your foundation and the rest of your make-up to go on smoother and look good for longer. Remember â your foundation sits on top of your skin.
3. Prime, prime, prime
Never skip this step. It is the setting step for your foundation and one that will also help you save on product. A primer creates a flawless canvas for your foundation and helps hold it in place and prolong wear.

4. Use the right tools to apply it
Apply your foundation with a foundation brush. This will help deliver the correct amount you need, effortlessly onto your skin. If you are applying mineral or powder foundation, use a fluffy powder brush or kabuki brush to help buff on the product properly.
5. Less is more
This tip applies to most make-up products. Start off with less foundation on your brush and gradually apply more if you need to.
6. Use a finishing powder
If you are using a liquid or cream foundation it is always best to finish off your look with a dusting of finishing / translucent powder. This helps seal your foundation and stops it from âslidingâ down your face. Think of it as a top coat, like you apply on your nails as the last step of your manicure.
Been busy hardly blogged but making a come back soon soon…

African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Daily Repair Facial Oil week 2 review
Here goes my two weeks review of African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Daily Repair Facial Oil.
This repair oil really seems like a wonderful product after two full weeks of use day & night before applying my moisturizer on top. I love the fact that it does not get greasy during the day or mess my clothing. It has a love scent of mixed oils namely : Jojoba Oil and delicate essential oils of Geranium, Rose, Lavender and Neem. The scent of this product is so calming and relaxing.
The rooibos advantage daily repair facial oil is said to reduce the appearance of dark spots while protecting your skin against environmental damage.
I must say I have blemishes on the sides of my forehead and dark marks left by pimples, so far I think my skin is still adjusting to this new product since it dried out beginning of week 2 but later became clearer of dry skin. I have not yet seen much of a difference during this 2 weeks but I am loving the product and trusting for better results. I have an oily skin.
I also love the fact that you can control the amount of drops to use on the skin which is made possible by the nozzle attached to lid.
It’s clear gold in colour
Oily in texture
30ml size bottle
R180.00 Dischem
it’s very light

African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Daily Repair Facial Oil
I received this product 2 weeks back Friday from Beauty Bulletin, I opened it up wow to my surprise was the African Extracts Rooibos Advantage Daily Repair Facial Oil.
It came in a red box with a bit of gold and the oil itself it’s in the clear bottle with a nozzle that helps me control the amount of oil needed of use.
The scent of mixed oils is so calming.
With this oil I’m hoping to remove dark marks on my skin left by pimples, uneven skin tone and blemishes.
It’s been 2 weeks already since I’ve been using it day & night, loving the journey so far it’s exciting! Not much changes as yet but hoping for the best results.

Got to love Vichy
February was short yet busy for me…
The two past months have been hectic for me, in and out of town on the road.
Well, 22nd February had travelled to Richard’s bay KZN to shoot for a cooking show on 1KZN TV called Siyapheka with Dumi, if you know me by now you’d know kitchen is my favorite place in the house. It was quiet an experience having to shoot for two shows in a time slot allocated for one of which it was the first time they’ve done it. Were very impressed so was I. To air in April 2017 đ
25th February had travelled to Jhb for the True Love Inspired event at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sandton. What an experience as a blogger, a very well planned event I tell you.
On the panel we had celebrities like;
Dj Zinhle
Dineo Ranaka
Nonhle Thema
Thuli Thabethe (Isibaya)
Unathi Msengana who gave us an outstanding performance, I bowed.
The True Love team was there, met with the Editor Dudu Mvimbi a beautiful young black successful lady she is. Had a chat with her and she was so welcoming. Had a chat with other celebs as well, an eye opener to their stories shared with us.
The food was on point.
The Lancome wokshop was thee cherry on top, an exclusive Lancome foundation or Powder of which we had to choose between the two to a value of R699.99 each. On top of that True Love had goodie bags for the ladies after the event was finish. Joys of blogging đ
I was inspired indeed, took noted with me & I shall use them wherever needed.
March 7, busy advertising a Mother’s Day High Tea event to take place on the 13th May 2017. Not an easy task especially to getsponsorship to make up goodie bags.
I shall upload pics once back online typong with my mobile phone at the moment đ
2017 Challenging like that!
